The 55+ neighborhood community goal being to give the residents a life of comfort, joy, and fulfillment.
In general, a retirement community, or active adult community, is a very broad, generic term that covers many varieties of housing for retirees and seniors - especially designed or geared for people who no longer work, or restricted to those over a certain age. The common age is 55 years or older. This is where the 55+ term is derived. An active adult community differs from a retirement home which is a single building or small complex where no "common areas" for socializing exist. Many active adult retirement communities are planned for that purpose, and have special facilities catering to the needs and wants of retirees, including extensive amenities like clubhouses, swimming pools, golf courses, active adult retail and sometimes even on-site medical facilities. Other 55 and over communities may have no or very few common amenities.

With the Versante subdivision neighborhood being smaller, all the homes are a comfortable walking distance to the cozy club house facility which provides a pool, spa, gym, library, BBQ, full kitchen, card room, big screen TV room, tranquil views, planned social events, and more. Plus, above and beyond what Four Seasons provides, the Versante HOA covers insurance on roof, exterior paint, water, and sewer. In addition, the El Dorado Hills Senior Center is just outside the Verstante subdivision gates adding even more prime location attraction to Versante. Weekly planned activities, games and socials are all part of the Versante 55 and Over experience. Versante HOA fees are $290 per month. DIAMOND GLEN 55+ Active Adult Gated Retirement Community in Folsom
Diamond Glen 55+ Active Adult gated community is a retirement community hidden away in Folsom, CA and not as well known as the other 55 and over gated communities. Another intimate setting like Versante, the Diamond Glen subdivision neighborhood is small with all the homes a comfortable walking distance to the cozy club house. The homes are built from 1997 to 1999 ranging in size from 1100sqft to nearly 1700sqft. The Diamond Glen Club House amenities include a pool and spa, tennis court, with social rooms, full kitchen, gym and dance hall.
